SENSEX TRADES FLAT; CD, METALS UP

Indian
equities continued to decline for the
third day on Monday. The Sensex was trading down 25.26 points or 0.14%
at 17,440.94 with 16 components falling. Meanwhile, the
Nifty was trading lower by 5.10 points or 0.10% at 5,312.80 with 30 components
falling.
The
30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain
of 65.27 points or 0.37% at 17,531.47, while the broad based NSE
Nifty started with a rise of 19.45 points or 0.37%, at 5,337.35. www.goldennifty.com

Movers
Tata
Consultancy Services contributed fall of 17.93 points in the Sensex. It was
followed by H D F C Bank (16.08 points), Infosys (14.56 points), Housing Development Finance
Corporation (13.77 points) and State Bank Of India (7.68 points).

However,
I T C contributed rise of 16.26 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Tata
Motors (8.35 points), Reliance Industries (7.72 points), Mahindra &
Mahindra (6.31 points) and I C I C I Bank (5.49 points). www.goldennifty.com
Major
gainers in the 30-share index were Sterlite Industries (India) (2.32%),
Mahindra & Mahindra (1.70%), Tata Motors (1.40%), I T C (1.16%), Hindalco
Industries (1.07%), and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.04%).
